I am a Registered Music Therapist at NECOM since 2018 supporting and encouraging people with special needs and people at residential care.
I decided to come to Australia from Himeji, Japan, in 2015 to study Music therapy.
After completing my degree at Western Sydney University, I was invited to take on the music therapy position at NECOM.
As a music therapist, I am always passionate about how music benefits people with special needs.
I focus on a person-centered approach and choose musical activities (such as playing, dancing and singing) which are suited to the needs of the individual.
I believe music is for everyone no matter where we come from, no matter our ability level.
